21.07.2021 – 25.07.2021: Van Mahotsav Celebration (5 days-5 Tasks)

The national-level event was conducted online. The event involved performing five eco-friendly tasks and sharing the pictures. The 5 tasks were to plant a tree, shout out for your planet, eat your greens, attract, house, and feed the birds, and sort and manage your waste. The participants were given certificates of recognition.

16.09.2021: Ozone Day Celebration:

The principal, 30 staff members, and sixty students including YRC & NSS volunteers participated in the event. Vice president of SD College Society and Ex-Principal of the college, Dr. Deshbandhu was the chief guest. On this occasion, a plant propagation unit " Podha Bank" was inaugurated and 40 self-propagated plants and vermicompost prepared from college tanks were distributed to the staff members. In the afternoon session, a workshop on managing non-recyclable waste at the source was conducted by Dr. Divya Jain, Head Dept of Botany.

1.10.2021 to 8.10.2021: Wildlife Week Celebration

Nature Photography Competition. To commemorate the Wildlife Week Environment Awareness Club organized a Nature Photography Competition at the college level. Chanakya Kapoor of B.Sc II (C.Sc.) got first prize, Mohit of B.Sc. I (Medical) got second prize and Arti Sharma (Admin Staff) got third prize.

28.12.2021:  Save Environment Campaign

The event began with the pledge to save the environment. An Eco-Army was created for the session and groups of students were deputed as Water warriors, Energy Saviours, and Green Goblins. Ad-Mad contest and tattoo designing competitions were organized on the theme of environment. In the Ad-Mad contest Harsh Sharma of B.Sc. III (Med) got first prize, Ritik B.Sc.II (C.Sc.) got second prize and Jaspreet of BCA III got third prize. In tattoo design Mannat of B.Sc. II (Med.) got first prize, Sonam of B.Sc. II (Med.) got second prize and Lalitesh of B.Sc. III (Med.) got third prize.
